Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the right age or class to start NDA preparation? +

Class IX is the ideal starting point. It gives your child 4 years of structured preparation before they attempt NDA. However, we have programs for every stage — Class X, XI, XII, and XII Pass. The key is: starting earlier gives a decisive, irreversible advantage.

Will NDA preparation harm my child's board exam performance? +

No — and this is one of the most important things we stand for. At GDDA, board academics and NDA preparation are handled together, structured so neither suffers. In fact, the conceptual depth NDA requires often strengthens board performance. We have never asked a student to choose one over the other.

When does SSB preparation begin? +

From the very first year your child enrolls. SSB tests Officer Like Qualities — which cannot be manufactured in weeks. We begin personality development, communication grooming, and leadership exercises from Class IX or XI onwards. By the time a student sits for SSB, they have years of development behind them, not a crash course.

Is the Girls Batch fully residential and safe? +

Yes. The Girls Batch has a fully equipped, dedicated hostel facility with 24/7 supervision, CCTV coverage, and a zero-tolerance policy for misconduct. Female faculty are involved in student oversight. We understand that safety is a non-negotiable for parents of girl candidates — and we treat it as such.

How are parents kept informed about their child's progress? +

Regular weekly updates are shared with parents — covering academic performance, physical training progress, and overall assessment. Monthly performance reports are provided. Parent meetings are scheduled at regular intervals. We believe an informed family is a stronger support system for the student.

What if my child doesn't clear NDA — is the preparation wasted? +

Absolutely not. Every student who trains here leaves with stronger academics, disciplined habits, a sharper mind, and a character built for challenge. NDA selection is the goal — excellence is the guarantee. Academic strength, physical fitness, and leadership qualities developed here serve every future path, regardless of the NDA outcome.
